Kanye West Stops Sydney Show & Demands Fans to Stand
Kanye West may just have an even more idiotic moment than when he dissed Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMA's. When Taylor Swift won the award for Best Female Video back in 2009 Kanye appeared on stage during Taylor's acceptance speech to diss Taylor and say that "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time". Well this next story may just top that.
Kanye recently came under some criticism after demanding fans at his Melbourne show to stand up "unless y'all sitting down because y'all handicapped".
Kanye West performed at Qantas Credit Union Arena in Sydney, Australia on September 12th for his Yeezus tour. Kanye announced “I can’t do this song. I can’t do this show until everybody stand up… Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and shit. ‘Imma see you if you ain’t standing up, believe me, I’m very good at that.” The majority of the fans had stood up at Kanye's request but there were still two audience members they hadn't stood up and it wasn't until one of them waved their prosthetic leg in the air to which Kanye replied "Okay you fine". Kanye then went in on fan number 2 and announced that “This is the longest I’ve had to wait to do a song, it’s unbelievable.” Kanye then sent his bodyguard into the crowd to check if the fan was actually in a wheelchair after fans were making wheelchair signals to him, once confirmed Kanye said "He is in a wheelchair? It’s fine!”
Some fans tweeted:
